Ms Malebo Malope is a clinical genetic counsellor and lecturer at Stellenbosch University.

Positions

• She coordinates teaching activities within the Clinical Genetics and Genetic Counselling Unit and leads short courses offered by the unit.
• In addition, she provides clinical genetic counselling services at Tygerberg Hospital and is involved in clinical training.
• Malebo has a special interest in decision-making around termination of pregnancy for fetal abnormalities, accessible genetic counselling services, and diversity and inclusion within genetics and genomics.
• She serves on the Young and Early Career Geneticists Group of the Southern African Society for Human Genetics and is a committee member of the African Genetic Counsellors Association.
